We will email you to acknowledge receipt of your booking request and to confirm you have been booked onto your desired workshop.
Please note that we commission local organisations to deliver this training for the NNS Network and we want to maximise the number of people and organisations who can benefit.
Places are limited to two representatives per organisation and if you do book a space you will be expected to attend. Please be considerate and if you are unable to attend after booking a space, contact us in advance so we can offer your place to someone else.
Monitoring & Evaluation workshop (online) – delivered by ISE
Wednesday 13th July, 1pm-3pm
This workshop will:
- Enable you to understand the NNS monitoring and evaluation process
- Help you to effectively measure and communicate the impact of your NNS project.
- Understand what is meant by impact reporting
- Learn how to separate your outcomes from your indicators
- Learn how to satisfy evaluation requirements.
At the session you will explore the ways you can measure your impact and the tools that can support you. You will learn how to create an impactful case study and discover how to develop a sustainable project beyond the NNS funding.
Bid Writing (online) delivered by Get Grants
Tuesday 19th July, 9.30 – 11.30am AND Tuesday 26th July, 9.30 – 11.30am

This course is aimed at organisations who are interested in growing their grant fundraising confidence and increasing their income through grant funding. Whether you are looking to hone your existing grant fundraising skills, or you want to write your very first application – this course will be relevant for you.
What to expect
The Get Grants Bid-Writing Course clarifies the grant funding process, so that you leave the course with a more assured approach to the task of grant fundraising. We use our training course to share our insights and experience from inside the world of grant fundraising and grant giving, setting you on the right path and arming you with the information you need to make the best use of your time and energy spent fundraising.
What topics we cover
On our Bid-Writing Course, you will cover a range of topics to equip you with a solid foundation of grant fundraising best practice. You will:
- Discover how to find funding opportunities and how to decide which funds are right for you.
- Learn different tactics you can use to argue Need.
- Explore Impact and Outcomes.
- Look at what makes a good budget.
- Investigate common errors, reasons applications are rejected, and top tips for increasing your success rates.
- Consider different types of applications, including how to create proposals to Trusts and Foundations.
- Understand how applications are assessed and start to look at your applications from the perspective of the funder.
Our Bid-Writing Course sessions are open and conversational, with a mix of group work and individual tasks, offering a friendly and relaxed environment with plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Developing a Fundraising Strategy (online) – delivered by Get Grants
Monday 18th July, 1pm – 4pm AND Monday 25th July, 1pm – 4pm

This coursehas been created to give fundraisers the practical skills and knowledge to develop an effective fundraising strategy and increase their organisation’s income and sustainability.
What to expect
