
Funded Training for Community Organisations in Hall Green
The Hall Green Neighbourhood Network Scheme, in partnership with New Training, is proud to offer this accredited Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) to community organisations operating in the Hall Green area.
This fully funded training has been developed specifically for staff and volunteers in community and voluntary organisations who are keen to better understand mental health, provide initial support, and promote a positive culture of mental wellbeing in the workplace and community spaces.
📘 What will you learn?
Participants will gain a thorough understanding of:
- What mental health is and why it matters
- The role and responsibilities of a Mental Health First Aider
- The importance of looking after your own mental wellbeing
- Common mental health conditions, including:
- Work-related stress
- Anxiety
- Depression
- PTSD
- Suicide awareness and support
You’ll also explore:
- How to support and reassure someone in distress
- How to signpost people to appropriate professional help
- Best practices for promoting mental wellbeing in community organisations
- Procedures for assisting colleagues or volunteers off work due to poor mental health
- Coping strategies and supportive return-to-work practices
