Support Services we work with that can help you

If you would like more information about support services we work with, or would like to contact some of our partner services directly, please look at our Family Support Directory – Hall Green Communities.

Here you will find details of lots of free support available for children, young people and families in the Hall Green locality. If you need help accessing this support, please contact us or speak to your nursery, school or college.

From Birmingham With Love is another handy support directory, covering areas like mental health support, financial help, domestic abuse and much more.

Book a Community Drop-in or Support Surgery

If you would like our team to offer a family support drop-in or support surgery at your school or organisation to speak directly to families or young people, please contact hallgreen.families@greensquareaccord.co.uk with the subject line “Drop-In Surgery”.

Our Hall Green Families Drop-ins help us to meet with families that you work with and connect them to the local support that they need. These could be services around food provision, mental health, debt and benefit advice, clothing and school uniform, and much more.

Emergency Support Grants for Families & Vulnerable People

In addition to the Household Support Fund, Birmingham City Council’s Local Welfare Provision (LWP) scheme helps vulnerable people in short-term crisis with food and essential items. These funds are grant-based, which means people who receive help from them will not have to repay anything.

Discretionary Housing Payments are also available to those suffering serious financial hardship. They provide extra help with rent when Housing Benefit, Local Housing Allowance, or Universal Credit doesn’t cover the full amount.
