As part of our ongoing commitment to capacity building within the Hall Green community, we are excited to extend an invitation to you for upcoming Disability Awareness Training sessions!
Funded by HGNN and delivered by experts at New Training, this engaging three-hour programme is open to professionals in workplaces, education, healthcare, and public services, as well as community leaders, volunteers, and residents who want to promote inclusivity and understanding in their environment.
The training will help participants break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create accessible spaces where everyone can thrive. Attendees will learn how to foster empathy, reduce discrimination, ensure equal opportunities, and develop practical strategies for respectful communication.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Understand different types of disability
- Know the rights of individuals with disabilities
- Recognise employer responsibilities under the law
- Use inclusive language and communication
- Be able to make practical changes to promote inclusion
