Celebrating Culture, Togetherness & Wellbeing with Ekeeta Group 🌸

13 August 2025

Hall Green NNS were deeply honoured to be invited to Ekeeta’s annual Teeyan Mela 2025 – a beautiful celebration of Punjabi culture, sisterhood and unity.

From traditional geets and devotional songs to heartfelt messages of unity, the spirit of togetherness. The day was filled with colour, live singing and dhol beats from Ratan Phenji Entertainment and the captivating voice of renowned Punjabi singer Rani Bathinda.

One of the most powerful messages of the day was clear: no individual effort is as valuable as the collective. Many of the amazing women in our community have shared that they live with stress and depression but often don’t know where to turn for help. This group has become a safe space – somewhere they can openly share their worries and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.

Alongside cultural celebrations, the women also enjoy gentle exercise sessions tailored to their mobility needs. Many have told us it’s helped improve their wellbeing, reduced their pain, and given them greater freedom to move in daily life.

We are so glad to be able to support the Ekeeta group to meet the diverse needs of women in our area, building resilience, wellbeing and hope for the future!
