Match My Project is an online meeting point for the business and community sector, where community organisations can get help for their projects from businesses working in Birmingham. Match My Project is the primary channel for delivering community projects for Birmingham City Council’s social value commitments
Community organisations don’t need to pay anything – they can simply sign up, post details of the project they would like support with and wait to be matched with a business looking to deliver on their social value commitments.
How it works?
- Community organisations post details of their project that they need support from businesses in order to deliver.
- Businesses then select projects they are able to support (through donating resources, equipment, time, cash)
- If accepted by the community organisations, businesses then can offer support and help to complete the project.
- Once the project is completed, the community organisation flags it as complete. It then enters the number of hours, the value of any resources, and any cash donated to complete the project.
- These values get posted against the business which is published on the Birmingham City Council website.
