Early Help – Delivering Festive Joy

23 December 2025

Before we sign off for the Festive seasion, we wanted to highlight our last act of support for our Hall Green and Selly Oak families. Multiple local external partners came together this Christmas, enabling us to deliver gifts to families facing hardship.

A large selection of gifts and toys were delivered to St Paul’s Children’s Centre and Family Hub, donated by Maz Iqbal and the team at Highfield Hall, via their collaboration and longstanding partnership with Birmingham City Foundation. St Paul’s Children Centre and Family Hub plays a vital role in supporting local families by offering early years provision, parenting support, and access to wider services that help children get the best start in life. You can read more about this in our article here.

“Thank you for offering to bring some toys from Highfield Hall and Birmingham City Foundation for presents for families we work with. We will ensure families who are in need will receive them.” – Fuazia Azad, District Early Years Manager.

Additional gifts were delivered to residents supported by National Homes in Selly Oak, an organisation that provides safe, secure accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness and housing-related challenges. Their work helps individuals and families rebuild stability and move towards independent living.

“I am writing to sincerely thank you for coming and for the lovely gifts and toys you brought for the children. Your kindness and thoughtfulness were truly appreciated. On behalf of the mothers, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude. The children were very happy, and the mothers were deeply touched by your generosity and support. We are very grateful for your time and efforts, and we look forward to working together in the future and continuing this positive collaboration. Thank you once again for your kindness.”Rukhsar Tajamal, on behalf of National Homes.

This collaborative effort highlights the strength of communities and partners working together to support vulnerable families. Hall Green and Selly Oak’s Early Help Team would like to thank everyone involved for their generosity and commitment to making a positive difference this Christmas.

We would like to thank all families and partner organisations involved for their generosity and commitment to strengthening our communities.

Our Early Help team wish you a safe, relaxed Festive season and a productive and prosperous 2025!
