Are you feeling the impact of the cost-of-living crisis? You’re not alone, and help is closer than you think!

Join us for a special Community Event dedicated to raising awareness about the support available to you and your loved ones.

What to Expect:

  • Information: Connect with local organisations offering support with food, housing, utilities, and financial advice.
  • Free Workshops: Learn practical tips for managing your finances, reducing energy costs, and accessing government assistance.
  • Local Vendors: Explore affordable products and services from community vendors who understand the challenges you’re facing.
  • Family Fun: Enjoy activities for kids and refreshments while learning about valuable resources.
  • Community Connections: Meet others in your community who are navigating similar challenges and build a support network.

The rising cost of living is affecting everyone, but there is help available. This event is designed to bring resources directly to you. Whether you need immediate assistance or want to plan for the future, our event is here to empower you with the knowledge and connections you need.

Who’s Going to be There?

Early Help: Offering information on Early Help, and how they can support the whole family. Carers support, bereavement advice, food, mental health and support with finances. Discuss how they can best support and promote building families resilience.

Narthex: Narthex offers information, advice and guidance for welfare benefits, works for the carers project, fuel efficiency workshops, foodbanks and community pantries.

Department for Works and Pensions: General guidance about employment / benefits to anyone who would like to get an advice as much as they are eligible for public funds.

Smartlyte: Providing free mobile SIM cards with data packages, offering vital connectivity to those in need. These SIM cards not only deliver potential savings of up to £180 per year but, more crucially, ensure you stay connected to the digital world—unlocking even greater cost-saving opportunities and access to essential online services.

Birmingham Mind: Promoting Birmingham Mind services and conversations around mental wellbeing with citizens.

Witton Lodge: Providing a range of advice and guidance services that provide mental health and wellbeing support, benefits advice, household energy support and environmental activities, as well as free energy advice and home energy advice.

Brandwood Centre: Providing free carbon monoxides machines to give away, access to free slow cookers, de-humidifiers, Green Doctor home support, warmer centre services, free Benefit and Debt services, free home gas service if eligible. Additionally free training, job clubs and CV’s for the community.
